The Jackson Northwest Little League (JNWLL) is geared to provide an outlet for healthy activity and training under good leadership and positive community participation. It should help establish the rudiments of teamwork and fair play. For this purpose, the JNWLL Board of Directors has instituted a Code of Conduct to be followed by everyone involved in the League. 1. DO NOT criticize team players, or the opposing team’s players, coaches, or fans by word of mouth or by gesture. 2. Respect the judgment of the umpires. Strive to make every baseball activity serve as a training ground for life and a basis for good mental and physical health. 3. Abusive or profane language directed towards anyone connected with the game is prohibited. 4. Emphasize that winning a game is a result of “teamwork”. 5. Let the managers, coaches, and umpires do their jobs. Never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game field. Document your concerns, and then speak with coaches regarding your concerns after 24 hours have elapsed. 6. The Umpire shall report to the League President, within 24 hours, after the end of the game, all violations of rules and other incidents worthy of comment, including disqualification of any manager, coach, player or spectator and the reasons therefore. 7. Players, parents, and guests will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent such as booing, taunting, refusing to shake hands, or using profane language or gestures. 8. Uphold all rules and regulations, national and local, regarding Little League Baseball. 9. There will be no alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or drugs allowed on the ground where Little League is played. Persons found violating this Code during a game will be subject to ejection from that game by the umpire or Board member on duty. The police will be contacted if necessary. Any manager, coach, player, parent, or spectator ejected from a game is automatically suspended from that team’s next game.
JNWLL coaches, assistant coaches and/or managers will be subject to further discipline,
which may include immediate termination of your volunteer position within the JNWLL, as
determined by the Board of Directors. If at any time the conduct of a manager, coach, player,
parent, or spectator is determined to be detrimental and/or contrary to the best interests of the
League, the Board of Directors retains the right to suspend that person from further
participation of any kind, and for whatever period of time is deemed reasonable and proper by
the Board.
